REVOLT SILKSCREEN was created by Franklin who is a Bay Area native having been born in SF but moving to West Oakland shortly after the 89 earthquake. In 2001 he was referred to a gang prevention/youth entrepreneurship program known as Estudio Olin. One of the trades offered by the program was screen printing.  After completing the program Franklin was asked to come back as an instructor for the studio. He kept screen printing as a hobby until the decision came to make it a professional business. REVOLT SILKSCREEN was born.
